The Comprehensive Pulmonary Hypertension Center (CPHC) at University Medical Center New Orleans has earned top tier accreditation as a Center of Comprehensive Care for pulmonary hypertension.

Staffed with specialists from LSU Health New Orleans & Tulane University School of Medicine, the center offers comprehensive and coordinated care, a multi-specialty team approach, an array of auxiliary services, and intensive therapeutics for patients with pulmonary hypertension.

Patients receive seamless Pulmonary Hypertension care, expert nursing support, access to PH research studies, support groups, and inpatient care should hospitalization be required.

  • Pulmonologists
  • Cardiologists
  • Rheumatologists
  • Dedicated nurse specialists
  • Social workers
  • Nutritionists
  • Other sub-specialists to provide exceptional inpatient and outpatient care for patients living with PH

What we treat

We treat patients with all forms of pulmonary hypertension and patients at high risk for development of pulmonary hypertension.

These high-risk patients include those with:

  • Connective tissue disease (e.g. scleroderma, myositis, vasculitis)
  • Sarcoidosis
  • Interstitial lung disease
  • History of pulmonary embolism
