What does the Social Services Department do?
The Social Services staff is here to help! We will work with you to determine what services you need.
We know what resources are available, and we can help you apply for them. We can work with you to find the best way to pay for your medicine and your medical care.
Our team can also help you with personal issues. We offer counseling and therapy.
You can come to us if you want to talk about a problem.

You don’t need an appointment to see Social Services.
To speak with Social Services staff, just let your doctor or nurse know. Or, sign in on the Social Services kiosk in the 4C lobby. You don’t need an appointment to see us.
What to bring on your first visit:
- picture I.D., and/or proof of residency (like an Entergy bill or water bill)
- proof of monthly income (household), and
- your insurance card, if applicable.
The Social Services staff works together with HOP providers.
Your doctor cares about what is going on in your life. Sometimes, your doctor may ask a social worker to see you during your visit to talk about a problem you might have.
