House Officer Quality Improvement Council

The UMCNO House Officer Quality Improvement Council was established in March of 2017 in order to meaningfully engage house staff at UMCNO into activities that promote a culture of patient safety by optimizing the delivery of care, inter-professional team based communications, cost accountability, provider wellbeing and population health outcomes.  

HQUIC has a monthly offering at UMCNO open to health care providers from all disciplines and all professions.  Monthly offerings are supported by The Spirit of Charity Foundation and include the following activities: 

  • Committee Meetings
  • Safety, Health Disparity, and Improving Patient Outcomes  [SHIP] Case Conferences
  • Project Huddles
  • Journal Club
