The UMCNO House Officer Quality Improvement Council (HQUIC) was established in March of 2017 to meaningfully engage house staff at into activities that promote a culture of patient safety.
We do this by:
- Optimizing the delivery of care
- Inter-professional, team-based communications
- Cost accountability
- Provider wellbeing
- Population health outcomes
Regular activities
HQUIC has a monthly offering at University Medical Center open to health care providers from all disciplines and all professions. Monthly offerings are supported by The Spirit of Charity Foundation.
These activities include:
- Committee Meetings
- Safety, Health Disparity, and Improving Patient Outcomes [SHIP] Case Conferences
- Project Huddles
- Journal Club
