What is Primary care?

Primary care is the first line of defense in preventing disease and other ailments. Regular visits to a primary care doctor can help catch health issues early and decrease hospital admissions or emergency department visits. They also lower your risk of chronic diseases, such as cancer and obesity.

Why it’s important to have a Primary Care Provider

Primary Care Providers work to achieve disease prevention from day one. Having a dedicated PCP often helps lower your risk of chronic illnesses. Your Primary Care Provider becomes an expert in your health history and goals, which makes navigating through your treatment and prevention journeys feel easy and safe. PCPs make sure you get better through a system of personalized care, working with specialists to advocate for all your health needs.
